Maj. Robert K. McGhee was sworn in to the Air Force Reserves by his father, Col. Barton McGhee (retired) at the Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Memorial Park here June 30.

June 29 was Major McGhee's last day of Active Duty.

"This is like déjà vu," said McGhee.

"He commissioned me out of school into active duty about 11 years ago," agreed Major McGhee.

This is not the only reason this day was so special. Legacy was illustrated here as well.

Major McGhee's father formerly served as commander of the 94th Aeromedical Staging Squadron. Now his son is following in his footsteps.

"He's a dentist, I was a dentist and my father was a dentist," said McGhee. He sternly reached his arm out to shake hands with his son as a slight smile appeared on his face.
