56 Group to hold Treasurer Election July 11 Published July 9, 2010 DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- Exercise your right to vote! The Dobbins 56 Group Executive Committee Board will hold an election for the office of Treasurer this Sunday, July 11, 12 p.m. at the Transportation Proficiency Center (BLDG 747). Nominations will be accepted by e-mail to Staff Sgt. Erica Shelton at erica.shelton@us.af.mil until 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10. All nominees must be present at the July 11 Unit Training Assembly (UTA) to acknowledge/accept or decline the nomination. All nominations must come from the General and Honorary memberships only. Candidate must be a member to accept and hold the position. An elected member can hold an executive position for a maximum of 2 years and two consecutive terms. General Members will have the right to speak, make motions, vote at meetings, hold office, and participate in 56 Group functions and activities. Only active members in good standing may exercise the right to vote. Honorary Members will have the right to speak, support and participate in 56 Group functions and activities and make nominations. Honorary Members will not be able to make motions, vote at meetings, or hold a position within the executive council.
