The Snowbirds are here Published Oct. 13, 2010 DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga -- The Snowbirds Demonstration Team, a Canadian military formation aerobatic team, arrived Tuesday, Oct. 12 for the Wings over Atlanta 2010 Air Show on Oct. 16 and 17. The Snowbirds are featured performers for this weekend's air show along with the Navy Blue Angels and Air Combat Command's Viper East Demo Team which features the F-16 Flying Falcon. Other featured performers are: U.S. Air Force Academy Wings of Blue - Opening Ceremony Red Eagle Dan Buchanan Gary Rower Bill Braak Smoke-N-Thunder Kent Pietsch Jelly Belly Dobbins C-130 Airdrop Otto The Helicopter F/A-18 Hornet Demo Georgia State Patrol Helo Demo Sean D. Tucker/Oracle The air show, which is free to the public, will open at 8:30 a.m. and will close at 5:30 p.m. Bus transportation to the air show gates will depart from the free parking areas at Lockheed, Six Flags White Water and Jim Miller Park. Buses will begin transporting air show visitors at 8:30 a.m.. Return rides to the parking lots will be available throughout the day.
