Dobbins adds $181 million to local economy Published Nov. 10, 2010 DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- The 94th Airlift Wing has poured more than $181 million into the local community in Fiscal Year 2010, an increase of nearly $9 million more than last year's figures. There are 1,730 Reservist, Air National Guard and trainees earning $39 million and 817 civilians earning $54 million yearly working at the 94th Airlift Wing, supporting the C-130 aircraft mission. Using a government formula, the base added another 878 indirect jobs created with a $48 million value. Local economic impact values for other agencies such as the Army National Guard and other agencies using property at Dobbins are not reported in this report. Their reported figures increase millions more into the local economy. Military construction projects expenditures nearly reach $11 million and Services contracts were more than $20 million. Other military expenditures such as health care and education aid added more than $8 million into the economy.
