Services provides funding for Holiday Fun Published Dec. 5, 2010 By Public Affairs DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- Citizen Airmen of the 94th Airlift Wing gathered at the Services and Human Resources Development Council sponsored Holiday Party at Hangar 5 here Dec. 4. The event was one of fellowship, good food, giving back, friendly competition and fun. "This is an opportunity for us to celebrate the real reason for the season with one another outside of the office," said Col. Timothy E. Tarchick, 94 AW commander. Services provided more than $5,000 worth of food and refreshments. HRDC held a "coat and canned goods" drive where all units competed for the "Annual holiday giving back trophy." Units also competed to design the best decorated ornament. Finally, several giveaways were awarded including raffles by HRDC and Services as well as a donation of popcorn goodies by the Boy Scouts for all servicemembers present. "This was a pretty impressive event," said Senior Airman Joseph Hriczov of the 94th Force Support Squadron. "I really enjoyed myself and everyone else appeared to be having a good time as well."
