National Guard's 374th birthday celebration at Dobbins Published Dec. 13, 2010 DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- The Georgia National Guard celebrated the 374th anniversary of the U.S. National Guard with a host of dignitaries at an event held here Dec. 14. Maj. Gen. William T. Nesbitt, Adjutant General of Georgia, along with local and state officials, commemorated the anniversary date of Dec. 13 with reenactors in period uniforms to illustrate the history of the National Guard.
