The Dobbins TOP 3 Group awarded the first Dobbins TOP 3 Annual Community College of the Air Force Scholarship Award to Senior Master Sgt. Kathleen Petridis, Finance NCOIC.

The award was presented during the February unit training assembly Top 3 meeting. Sergeant Petridis was nominated for the award by her supervisor--Capt. Isidro Renteria-Silva, 94th Finance.

The nomination letter contained multiple positive attributes that describes the leadership and professional Airmenship that Sergeant Petridis brings to the Finance Team and Dobbins Air Reserve Base. Sergeant Petridis is a traditional Air Force reservist who enjoys her work and serves the U.S. Army as a budget analyst. She is within one class of completing her Community College of the Air Force degree.

No other Air Force base, active duty or Reserve, offers the TOP 3 Scholarship award. Dobbins is the first! The Dobbins TOP 3 scholarship award was created for the sole recognition of a deserving TOP 3 member who is working towards the completion of their CCAF degree.

Nomination packages for the 2011 Dobbins TOP 3 Annual CCAF Scholarship Award will be accepted next October. The TOP 3 Group committee contacts are Chief Master Sgt. Ron Aickelin, committee chairperson, Senior Master Sgt. Joy Hughes, and Master Sgt. Cathi Bradford.

The Dobbins TOP 3 regular monthly meetings are held at Verhulst Hall on Sunday of the UTA weekend at 12:30 p.m. All senior NCOs of Dobbins ARB are always encouraged to attend and support the TOP 3 team. Annual membership dues are $12. The next featured speaker for the March UTA is Chief Master Sgt. John Anderson, 94th Airlift Wing Command Chief.
