A final hosing

Lt. Col. James M. "Mike" Dodd, from the 700th Airlift Squadron made his final landing in the C-130 Hercules he was accustomed to flying while assigned to Dobbins. He was greeted by family, friends and organization members who were armed with various soaking apparatus ready for the customary hose down as he completed his fini-flight prior to his retirement on June 4.
His eighteen years of service on Dobbins included assignments such as Squadron and Group Tactics Officer, Flight Commander, Chief of Weapons and Tactics with time spent as an FCF and Evaluator Pilot.
Lt. Col. Dodds distinguished career has spanned over twenty-eight years of combined active duty and reserve status where he has logged in over 4200 hours flying the T-37, T-38, AT-38, F-15, HC-130H/N/P, and C-130E/H as well as over 5200 hours in the B-727.
In his civilian capacity he is currently a captain on the A300 at FedEx Express.
