The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an organization whose vision is to develop and promote a culture in which employers support and value the military service of their employees, is partnering with the Employer Partnership of the Armed Forces (EPAF) to provide hiring employers with the ability to post available jobs and for servicemembers to post resumes, search for jobs, and make a connection with potential employers through www.EmployerPartnership.org.

"In this time of economic uncertainty, ESGR is focusing on connecting employers with the talented pool of servicemembers and spouses, with the intent of facilitating meaningful employment opportunities," said Penelope Harbour, ESGR coordinator.
Since the events of Sept. 11th, servicemembers have played a tremendous role in fighting terrorism and keeping the country secure. At the same time, an estimated 22 percent of the Guard and Reserve are seeing unprecedented levels unemployment and underemployment.

"Hiring a service member makes good business sense," said Harbour. "These are disciplined and skilled workers who display pride, leadership and professionalism in what they do. They understand the mission of their civilian jobs and make it a priority to get results, all while displaying a strong work ethic."
