Georgia's sixth Congressional District representative, Tom Price, visited Dobbins Sept. 29 to meet with wing leadership and visit significant base facilities.

Price and his staff sat with Maj. Gen. Wallace Farris, 22nd Air Force commander and Col. Tim Tarchick, 94th Airlift Wing commander, amongst others.  They discussed critical mission initiatives and projects for the 94th Airlift Wing, the wing's contribution to maintaining a strong defense system and additional issues affecting the Dobbins community.

Following the meeting, a tour of the newly constructed air traffic control tower and base fitness center allowed Price to witness newly completed projects here as well as the pressing need to rebuild aging facilities.

Price, who has served more than six years in Congress, has not recently visited Dobbins to speak with officials, discuss pending projects or witness the important milestones recently accomplished. Overall, the visit provided mutually beneficial opportunities for both parties to reach common goals.
