Robin Meade works on flightline Published Oct. 28, 2011 By Senior Airman Danielle Campbell Purnell 94th Airlift Wing, Public Affairs DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- Robin Meade, lead anchor for Headline News, and a crew from two of Turner Broadcasting System's cable networks visited Dobbins Oct 27 to tape intro segments for her Veteran's Day "Salute to Troops" special. "We came to Dobbins because it is conveniently located in the city," said Bryan Simmons, special projects producer from Headline News. It is comfortable here and the aircraft give a unique view of the military we have yet to capture. Since this summer, Cable News Network traveled with Robin Meade to visit servicemembers, military bases and military colleges. Her special military-tribute newscast will air this year on Veteran's Day. "This is something we do every year," said Meade. For her and the crew, it is their way to say thanks and to salute the troops.
