Recruits from the newly established Developmental and Training Flight, or D&TF, conducted physical training sessions here, April 14, during the Unit Training Assembly.

More than 30 recruits began physical conditioning sessions that were established to prepare them for the grueling physical challenges that lie ahead during Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base.

An emphasis on physical conditioning was a key component in transitioning from the delayed enlistment program to the D&TF, said Tech. Sgt. Gregory Meghoo, non-commissioned officer in charge of the D&TF and former Olympic medalist.

The D&TF, initiated by headquarters Air Force Reserve Command/A1 program, was established to minimize D&TF and BMT losses by promoting troop leadership, mentorship, physical excellence and a commitment to Air Force core values.
