SPSU hosts Military Appreciation Week Nov. 12-15 Published Nov. 9, 2012 MARIETTA, Ga. -- Southern Polytechnic State University will host its 2012 Military Appreciation Week Nov. 12-15. The week long event is sponsored by the VPAA, SPSU Foundation, Student Affairs and AMPVO. The event will kick off with an opening ceremony at the Student Center Ballroom Nov. 12, 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. Master of Ceremonies will be Zvi Szafran, VPAA. Bor Kerr, World War II Pearl Harbor Veteran, will present "Remembering Pear Harbor". Attendees can experience the memories of a World War II veteran who was at Pearl Harbor and hear stories of his service experiences more than 70 years ago.
