Dobbins Airman named best AFRC paralegal Published Nov. 15, 2012 By Senior Airman Elizabeth Van Patten 94th Airlift Wing Public Affairs DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- The law office superintendent from the 94th Airlift Wing at Dobbins Air Reserve Base recently received the Air Force Reserve Command Outstanding Air Reserve Component Paralegal of the Year Award for 2011, also known as the David Westbrook Award. Master Sgt. Elena Lund, known for her attention to detail and dedication, serves as an example within the legal career field. "It is pertinent that paralegals do what is asked of them," said Lund. "It's not necessarily expected that you go above and beyond, but it is certainly appreciated. You have to define your level of dedication to the corps by surpassing the standard." She is active within the USAF Air Reserve Component Judge Advocate General Corps by serving on multiple committees and as editor of the ARC Message weekly newsletter. In addition, Lund's influence reaches outside her own office to guide Airmen in need of strong mentorship. Lund was recognized at a recent wing commander's call for receiving the award where she also received a commander's coin.
