HCA provides Thanksgiving dinner for SFS Published Dec. 11, 2012 By Senior Airman Elizabeth Van Patten 94th Airlift Wing Public Affairs DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- The 94th Security Forces Squadron is among those organizations that do not get a day off. The base is always protected, regardless of the season. "On behalf of someone in your leadership chain, I would like to thank you for what you do every day," said Capt. Robert Mayes, 94th SFS operations officer. This Thanksgiving season, members of the 94th SFS were honored by the Dobbins Honorary Commanders Association who showed up to serve dinner to Airmen on duty on Nov. 21. This was the second year in a row that the HCA has given back to the Dobbins Airmen in this regard. The seven members of the HCA who showed up represent a 16 person steering committee within the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, who offered unanimous support of this endeavor," said Travis Ellis, of Mobilized Fuels and member of the HCA. "This is to show our great appreciation and admiration for the men and women who wear the uniform of the United States Air Force. The fare for the day included a traditional Thanksgiving buffet with all the trimmings. "We are blessed to live in a country where we are free from fear of travelling to our churches and on our buses," said Ellis. "The blessings of liberty are guaranteed, first through the Consistution and from those of you in uniform. This is our thanks to you."
