Job Title: 94th Airlift Wing administrative assistant
Years of Federal Service: 7
Hometown: Atlanta, Georgia

What does your job entail? My job will be to provide administrative support to the 94th Airlift Wing commander and staff by performing a variety of clerical and organizational tasks that are necessary for the continuous flow of the wing's mission.

What do you enjoy most about your job? This INNERview is being conducted prior to my scheduled start date, but during the "Meet and Greet" with Col Tarchick and staff, I felt extremely welcomed with open arms.

What was your last assignment? My last position held was as an Executive Assistant with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, in the Middle East.

What are your most recent accomplishments? My most recent accomplishments have been my acceptance and enrollment into the University of West Georgia to further my studies in Business Management and my retirement from the US Army.

What about working with Col. Tarchick and the wing staff drew you to apply for the position? I was a priority placement into this position. I was in the right place at the right time! I took this position after retiring from the Army with 22 years of service.

What do you hope to accomplish in this new position? To be the "BEST" - once that is obtained, everything else will just fall into place.

What do you do for recreation? I love spending time with family, going to the movies and amusement parks ... I just love doing things in the great outdoors especially on a nice day. And let's not forget shopping, that's also fun to do on any day.

What advice would you give someone who is interested in joining the military or junior enlisted? It is a great adventure, that will instill pride in self and country. I actually feel that everyone should serve at least two years in our military. It should be a requirement after graduating from high school. Maybe then, the military will be more appreciated and accepted for the missions it has to carry out.

What is your favorite movie? The Nutty Professor

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself. I love God and my family.

Welcome to the 94th Airlift Wing, Ms. Giles!
