Greetings! Published June 3, 2013 By Chaplain (Maj.) Jamie Danford 94th Airlift Wing Chaplain Office DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- Greetings everyone! It's a joy for me to introduce myself, and have the pleasure of being part of such a great wing. My name is Jamie Danford, and I was honored to be hired as your Wing Chaplain. I am happy to join an outstanding team already in place here, and it is a joy to serve with Chaplain Olga Westfall, Master Sgt. Oscar Rivera and Staff Sgt. Scott Heathcoat. My first Unit Training Assembly was in May, right in the middle of the inspection. I would like to thank everyone I met for making me feel at home even with the stress and work of the inspection. I previously served as a chaplain at the 908th Airlift Wing, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala. and the 315th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. As with many of you, I have also deployed and pulled many extra days in support of our nation as we prosecute the Global War on Terror. In my civilian capacity, I have served local parishes, and currently I am back in school pursuing a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I live in Midland City, Ala. with my wife, Lynn, and two boys, Bill and Nicholas. I know the chapel team has done a wonderful job explaining the services that we offer as a Chaplain Corps each UTA. We not only have two Christian worship services, but also offer confidential counseling, direction and help where needed. If you have a religious need to be addressed, please let us know. We are here to serve and listen to you. I look forward to getting around and meeting everyone and serving this great wing and nation with you. * Chaplain services are held each UTA Sunday at 7:15 a.m. at Bldg 838 Heritage Hall and 8 a.m. at 80th APS.
