More than 80 inspectors arrived at Dobbins Air Reserve Base May 8-9 to conduct eight different, in-depth inspections of processes and practices employed by the 94th Airlift Wing.

This Consolidated Unit Inspection, conducted by the Air Force Reserve Command's Inspector General Office, rendered a declaration that the wing is mission-ready, with an overall grade of "Satisfactory."

The IG team evaluated the wing's compliance with mission readiness, daily operations, safety, record keeping and a plethora of other functional areas.

Prior to the team's arrival, the wing completed online checklists of required actions.

"I would like to thank the 94th Airlift Wing leaders and personnel for their warm reception and support during this inspection," said Col. Carlos Halcomb, CUI team chief. "Congratulations and job well done!"

Every unit within the 94th AW was evaluated from the wing commander down to individual offices, either virtually, in-person, or both.

Offices were then rated based on information and feedback gathered throughout the week.

Grades for each office as well as the wing's overall grade are 5-tier, and result in Outstanding, Excellent, Satisfactory, Marginal or Unsatisfactory.

"First of all, thank you," said Col. Tim Tarchick, 94th AW commander. "We spent a lot of time and effort preparing. The inspection covered over 36,000 questions virtually, before the inspectors even arrived. We're flying airplanes safely. We're fixing them safely. We're good stewards of taxpayer dollars. Our base is tight on the perimeter. I'm happy!"

After reviewing the wing results at the outbrief, several teams and individuals were recognized for their contribution to the inspection and the wing.

Superior performers were Capt. Kerry Lyon, 94th Operations Support Squadron, Tech. Sgts. Ashanti Swann, 94th Security Forces Squadron, and Jonathon Sadler, 94th Maintenance Squadron, Angelina Sandoval, 94th AW Finance Office, and Lauren Oswald, 94th AW Information Protection Office.

Several superior teams were recognized by the inspection team as well, including Senior Master Sgt. Stephanie Gillis, Master Sgt. Edward Kennedy, Tech. Sgt. Susan
