Jessica Coleman 94th Airlift Wing Equal Opportunity DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- The 2013 Feds Feed Families Food Drive Campaign has begun and this year's recipient will be the Marietta Homeless Authority located in Marietta, Ga. Children and families are in great need of donated food this summer. We are asking members of the Dobbins Community to donate non-perishable food items July 15 - Aug. 27. Last year the Dobbins Community collected 600 pounds of food. This year our goal is 1000 pounds! Please bring non-perishable food items and place them into the designated collection barrel and boxes located in the main entrances of buildings 838 and 727, and the Base Consolidated Club. The following items are needed: Canned Fruits (light syrup or its own juice) Canned Vegetables (low sodium, no salt added) Multigrain Cereal (cheerios, cornflakes, grapenut or raisin bread) Grains (brown and white rice, oatmeal, bulgur, quinoa, couscous, pasta, and macaroni and cheese) Canned Proteins (tuna, salmon, chicken, peanut butter, beans) Soups (beef stew, chili, chicken noodle, turkey rice) Snacks (individually packed crackers, trail mix, dried fruit, granola/cereal bars, pretzels, sandwich crackers) If you do not have access to a barrel and would like to donate, please contact Staff Sgt.
