WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

I’m from the east side of Detroit, Michigan.

WHY DID YOU JOIN?

There are many reasons that I had for joining the Air Force. My main reason for joining was that I wanted to become skilled in aircraft maintenance; I figured the Air Force would provide the education and experience to do so.

WHAT DO YOU DO ON THE CIVILIAN SIDE?

I have been on orders since returning home from tech school. Aside from that, I help coach a kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class. I recently signed my first professional contract as a mixed martial arts fighter, and I’m waiting for the call to get my first pro fight.

WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL DRILL WEEKEND LIKE?

It's filled with computer-based training, physical fitness tests, medical appointments, and a briefing or two.

FAVORITE AIR FORCE EXPERIENCE?

My favorite experience is being able to work during the week. I enjoy my job as a comm/nav troop very much and most aircraft maintenance is done during the week.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?

I train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, and MMA six days a week.

PERSONAL/PROFESSIONAL GOALS?

I want to hone my skills as an avionics tech and one day earn a position as an air reserve technician and retire. As a fighter, I want to get a good number of pro wins onto my record, move into a bigger promotion, and then become a champion.
