It was an action-packed drill weekend at Dobbins, with an assumption-of-command ceremony and a visit from the command chief of Air Force Reserve Command. Monday shaped up as a continuation of this momentum with the base receiving a special guest.

President Donald J. Trump arrived at Dobbins Monday evening after departing Nashville, Tennessee where he spoke at the American Farm Bureau Federation’s 99th Annual Convention.

Trump was greeted at Dobbins by Maj. Gen. Joseph Jarrard, the adjutant general, Georgia Department of Defense; Brig. Gen. Richard Kemble, 94th Airlift Wing commander; Brig. Gen. Randall Simmons, Georgia Army National Guard commander; Brig. Gen. Reginald Neal, director of joint staff, Georgia National Guard.

After disembarking Air Force One, the president rode in a motorcade to the new Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta where he attended this year’s College Football Playoff National Championship game.
