National Police Week wrap-up: Why I became a police officer Published May 20, 2017 By Staff Sgt. Andrew Park 94th Airlift Wing Public Affairs DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- As we wrap up National Police Week 2017, Staff Sgt. Juanita Hess, 94th Security Forces Squadron patrolman, describes why she became a police officer. “I believe in fairness and equality, and I just wanted to see good done in the military," she said. " I also wanted to be a good advocate for women in cases of sexual assault and neglect. I’m also good with children and disputing issues and stuff like that, so I joined really just to bring that balance to the Air Force.” Click here to check out our May 18 highlight, Staff Sgt.
