Lt. Col. George Pelech Fini-Flight

Lt. Col. George Pelech, 700th Operations Squadron assistant director of operations, poses for a photo with his daughter, Abbie Pelech, and his wife, Karen Pelect, after his flight at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Ga., Feb. 28, 2023. Pelech flew his final flight, also known as a fini-flight, to commemorate his time in the Air Force. A fini-flight is a long standing Air Force tradition, stemming from World War II, when aviators would fly one final flight on an aircraft before departing a unit or before never flying their aircraft again. Pelech’s flight commemorated his 38 years in service, and his family, friends, and coworkers came out to celebrate with him.
