Col. Joseph C. Wilson is the Deputy Commander, 94th Airlift Wing, Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia. The wing is comprised of nearly 2,000 personnel, including a headquarters element, three groups and 13 squadrons, and is equipped with eight C-130H3 cargo aircraft that support joint force and multinational airlift missions across the range of military operations.
Col. Wilson entered the Air Force in May 2000 by enlisting in the Texas Air National Guard. He was selected as an Honor Graduate from Basic Military Training as well as a Distinguished Graduate from the Apprentice Air Transportation Specialist technical training school at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Col. Wilson received his commission in February 2006 from the Academy of Military Science at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, Knoxville, Tenn. Shortly thereafter, he graduated as Top Graduate from the Basic Logistics Readiness Officers Course at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Prior to his current position, the colonel served as Deputy Commander, 507th Mission Support Group, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla.
