94th MSG changes command

DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. --
Col. Marty Hughes, former commander of the 302nd Mission Support Group, assumed command of the 94th MSG from Col. Marshal Irvin, Jr. during a change of command ceremony presided by Col. Steven Parker, 94th Airlift Wing commander, Jan. 9 here.
Irvin, former 94th MSG commander, will now serve as the deputy commander at the Force Generation Center at Robbins Air Force Base. He will be serving with Col. James Fontanella, Force Generation Center commander.
Irvin spoke to his Airmen at the change of command ceremony, expressing his gratitude and pride in them.
“I am grateful to the Airmen of the 94th Mission Support Group,” he said. “You people are exceptional, you are all something else. Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise.”
After Irvin’s remarks, Hughes stepped up to address his new group.
“I am excited about coming to the 94th Airlift Wing and serving as your MSG commander,” said Hughes. “The 94th Mission Support Group, as I look at you, has such an outstanding reputation of accomplishment. And, I promise that I will give my all to maintain those high standards
