Ruth Young, a former ?Rosie the Riveter? during World War II, visits the B-29 Superfortress at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta, Ga. Ms. Young worked on B-29?s at the former Bell Plant in Marietta, from March of 1945 until the end of the war. ?Rosie the Riveter? is a slang term given to the women who worked to produce American planes, tanks, munitions and weapons during the war.
