Kennedy declared May 15 as Peace Officers’ Memorial Day, and this week around the country will be National Police Week. Staff Sgt. Brandon Dendy, a 94th Security Forces Squadron response force member, describes how he became interested in becoming a police officer. “I like to help people, he said. "Yeah, you can do other jobs helping people, such as being a teacher, but I think being active in the community, like walking around seeing and talking to people is a good way to show both kids and adults that you can be a good leader.”
