Brig. Gen. Steven B. Parker is the Commander of the 94th Airlift Wing, Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Ga. The wing is equipped with eight C-130-H3 cargo aircraft which support joint service and multi-national airlift missions in the United States and around the world. The wing is comprised of more than 2,500 personnel, organized into a headquarters element, three groups and 13 squadrons. Additionally, the general serves as host for over 12,000 tenant personnel and 13 tenant units.
Brig. Gen. Parker entered the Air Force in 1986 upon graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy. Following undergraduate pilot training, he was assigned as an F-15 pilot at Holloman AFB, N.M. He flew the F-15 operationally at Holloman AFB and Eglin AFB, and flew the T-37 at Reese AFB and the T-38 at Randolph AFB before joining the Air Force Reserve in 2000. The general also served as a staff officer on the Air Force Reserve Command and Pacific Air Force staffs. Prior to his current assignment, Brig. Gen. Parker commanded the 914th Airlift Wing at Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, N.Y.
The general is a command pilot with more than 3,700 hours of flight time in fighter, trainer, and cargo aircraft, including combat missions in support of Operation Southern Watch.
