Maj. Andre Wright, 94th Civil Engineer Squadron commander, was promoted to lieutenant colonel at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia on October 15, 2016.

Wright’s father, retired Air Force chief James Wright, delivered the invocation at the beginning of the promotional ceremony. Col. Marty Hughes, 94th Mission Support Group commander, was the presiding official. Hughes shared personal accounts of Wright’s phenomenal leadership at Dobbins.

Wright’s family pinned him with his new silver oak clusters during the ceremony. He told stories of his upbringing that portrayed the motivation and support that his family has always given him. Wright’s father taught him at a young age to always be on time and his mother motivated him to strive for perfection.

Lieutenant Colonel (Lt. Col.) is the second field officer rank in the U.S. Air Force. It ranks just above major and below colonel.

Congratulations Lt. Col. Wright!
