Many words come to mind when I think of the air force. Words like boom, wow, and crash. Others do to like strong, beautiful, brave and fabulous. You would think that these words are used to describe women.

I think that best describe the feminine side of the air force. To me they describe the rich heritage of dynamic females who soared above all others. Believe it or not women were the backbone of the air force. Jacqueline Cochran was the first woman to fly an airplane. She flew across the Atlantic on bomber jets during WWII. She was' a leader and and a woman who wasn't afraid of taking risks. Her heritage as a woman and a leader helped women and ladies allover the world to open their wings and soar. It also helps me learn a sense of self-pride as a future leader of tomorrow. Five, four, three, two, one, blast off! ! !
