445th Airlift Wing NCO of the Quarter, second quarter
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio --
Tech. Sgt. Brian Cronin, 87th Aerial Port Squadron air transportation journeyman, is the 445th Airlift Wing's NCO of the Quarter, second quarter.
While deployed, Cronin managed an upload of 166,000 short tons of cargo and baggage on 3,800 missions, ensuring 99 percent on time departure rate. He directed 19 "Stryker" vehicle uploads, securing more than $9 million in Air Force assets. The sergeant led the reconfiguration of cargo yard support in support of Joint Base Balad transition that was completed three months early.
During his off-duty time, Cronin volunteered to serve as ambassador for community welfare with the St. Angela Merici Parish Festival in Fayetteville, Ohio. He also volunteered for the 87th APS Children's Hospital Christmas 2011 Toy Drive.
