Col COLONEL DANIEL J. EBRECHT

Colonel Daniel J. Ebrecht is the Vice Commander of the 94th Airlift Wing, Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia.  The wing is equipped with eight C-130H3 cargo aircraft that support joint service and multi-national airlift missions both in the United States and around the world. The wing is comprised of over 2,500 personnel, and includes a headquarters element, three groups and 13 squadrons.

 

Colonel Ebrecht earned his commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 005, Auburn University, Alabama in 1996.  In 1997, he attended Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training at Columbus AFB, Mississippi.  He then served on active duty, flying multiple aircraft types until he transferred to the Air Force Reserve in February 2007.

 

Colonel Ebrecht has commanded the 357th Airlift Squadron, 908th Airlift Wing at Maxwell AFB, AL operating the C-130H aircraft and also commanded the 746th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, 379th Air Expeditionary Wing, Al Udeid AB, Qatar, operating both the C-130H and C-21A aircraft.  Additionally, he has served in the Reserve a T-6A Instructor Pilot at Vance AFB, Oklahoma, and KC-10 Instructor Pilot, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey.

 

Prior to this assignment, Colonel Ebrecht served as Air Operations Staff Officer, 22nd Air Force, Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia.  He is a Command Pilot with more than 5,000 military flight hours.  His operational experience includes multiple deployments supporting Operations NORTHERN WATCH, SOUTHERN WATCH, ALLIED FORCE, NOBLE EAGLE, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, ODYSSEY DAWN, UNIFIED PROTECTOR, NORTHEAST TANKER TASK FORCE, INHERENT RESOLVE, and FREEDOM’s SENTINEL.  In his civilian capacity, Colonel Ebrecht is a pilot for a major airline.
