Annual ‘Feds Feed Families’ food drive in full swing

6/28/2012 - DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga. -- Members of Dobbins Air Reserve Base are welcomed to contribute non-perishable food items in support of this year's Feds Feed Families food drive this summer.
Blue collection bins have been placed by 94th Airlift Wing equal opportunity specialists in buildings 838 and 727, the Base Exchange and the Dobbins Inn.
The first collection deadline is June 29, with collection deadlines in July and August as well.
Collected food will be distributed to local food banks.
Last year, the Department of Defense contributed 2,000,000 pounds of food - Army 562,000 pounds; Navy 396,000 pounds; Air Force 348,000 pounds. Dobbins contributed 600 pounds to that overall goal.
