Dobbins Recognition Ceremony: Dobbins recognizes outstanding Airmen

The 94th Airlift Wing hosted its second annual Dobbins Recognition Ceremony on March 5, 2016 in Atlanta.

The ceremony recognized individuals in seven categories who demonstrated the capability to excel and made significant contributions to their units and the wing. Also recognized were the spouse of the year and the outstanding units of the year.

“Our annual award nominees and winners represent Airmen across all ranks who embody excellence in all they do,” said Col. Steven Parker, 94th Airlift Wing commander. “Not only do these men and women demonstrate superior proficiency in their jobs, they have worked tirelessly to improve their units, themselves, their communities and to inspire others.”


2015 Annual Award Winners:

Airmen of the Year: SrA David Yancey, 94th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

Noncommissioned Officer of the Year: Technical Sgt. Mark Hanson, 700th Airlift Squadron

Senior Noncommissioned Officer of Year: Senior Master Sgt. Matthew Ripley, 700th Airlift Squadron

Company Grade Officer of the Year: 1st Lt. Sean DeSouza, 94th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

Field Grade Officer of the Year: Lt. Col. Lance Avery, 700th Airlift Squadron

Civilian of the Year: G.W. Taylor, 94th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

Supervisory Civilian of the Year: Terry Wilson, 94th Security Forces Squadron

Unit of the Year: 700th Airlift Squadron and 94th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

Spouse of the Year: Megan Roman
