DOBBINS AIR RESERVE BASE, Ga.-- The Dobbins Emergency Relief Fund received $1,600 from the Square and Compass Club and the Dobbins Thrift Shoppe.

The Dobbins Relief Fund helps military families with unexpected expenses while a service member is deployed.

Typically, the Square and Compass Club hosts a Corn and Sausage Roast each year at Dobbins to raise money for the fund, but this year was a challenge due to COVID-19.

Instead, the club worked together to budget a donation of $600, said Ron Durant, Corn and Sausage Roast chairman. This Dobbins Thrift Shoppe provided $1,000 to bring the total to $1,600.
