Nelson is AF Reserve nominee for Jabara Award for Airmanship

Maj. Jeffrey K. Nelson, an instructor pilot in the 39th Flying Training Squadron at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, is the Air Force Reserve Command's nominee for the 2018 Col. James Jabara Award for Airmanship.

The Jabara Award for Airmanship, established in 1967 in memory of Col. James Jabara, the first jet ace and second-leading ace in the Korean War.

Each year the U.S. Air Force Academy and the Association of Graduates present the award to an Academy graduate or graduates whose airmanship contributions are of great significance and set them apart from their contemporaries.
